This is a key role in ensuring accurate and timely documentation for international shipments, while maintaining compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and internal quality standards. Responsibilities: Prepare and submit customs entries for air, ocean, and ground shipments Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and ensure duty/tax compliance Track shipments to ensure timely release and delivery Coordinate with internal teams, carriers, and government agencies Maintain accurate records in line with CBP audit standards Stay current on customs regulations and compliance changes Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: 2–3 years of experience in customs brokerage or import operations for a freight forwarder or customs brokerage Strong knowledge of U.S. import regulations and HTS classification Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines Excellent communication skills and customer-focused mindset Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities Location - Chicago Salary - $55-75K - Depending on experience and qualifications If you’re detail-driven and eager to grow within the industry, we’d love to hear from you!
