Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with 2+ years of CST experience and NBSTSA certification for a hospital Operating Room position in Bad Axe, MI.

Details

• Operating Room unit with 3 OR rooms and a Procedure Room
• Surgical specialties include cancer, ENT, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecological surgery, ophthalmological surgery, orthopedic surgery, podiatry surgery, and urological surgery
• Patient population includes both adults and children for inpatient and outpatient procedures
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Uses CPSI EMR system
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
• Will float between two facility locations within the health system
• On-call requirements with up to 10 shifts per month and a 30-minute response time
• Weekend on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CST experience required
• NBSTSA certification required
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Ortho, OB-GYN, and General surgery experience preferred
• Compact license not accepted

Additional Information

• Assist surgeons and medical professionals in the operating room and similar environments
• Prepare patients, rooms, and equipment for pending surgical procedures
• Assist as part of the surgical team during surgical procedures
• Surgical team supports emergency surgeries 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Local candidates considered, with a 35-mile radius defining local traveler status for pay rate purposes
• Limited to 5 days of requested RTO
