The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Protocol Specialist and subject matter expert for professional management of high-visibility organizational programs, including protocol execution, official tours, and event coordination.

What you will accomplish:

- Direct Executive Influence: Work hand-in-hand with Group and Division leadership on a continuous basis, serving as the trusted advisor providing executive-level advice, accountability, and technical expertise.

- Command the Nerve Center: Lead the Director's Action Group, driving vital administrative programs, high-level correspondence, and protocol operations for distinguished visitors, tours, and events.

- Shape Long-Range Strategy: Drive agency-wide modernization by establishing 5+ year strategic roadmaps, designing performance metrics, and leading organizational analysis to optimize workforce efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic & Organizational Analysis: Direct cross-functional teams to analyze and optimize mission effectiveness, resource allocation, and complex logistics operations across the agency.

- Executive Services & Operations: Centralize and manage Group-level administrative programs, including protocol, timekeeping, executive correspondence, leadership briefings, records management, and high-priority suspense items.

- Policy Development & Communication: Oversee the development and implementation of internal policies and communication programs designed to strengthen and support Software Directorate personnel.

- Regulatory Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Interpret complex federal and defense policies to ensure regulatory compliance while spearheading continuous process improvements across the enterprise.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- U.S. Citizenship

- Obtain & maintain an appropriate security clearance

- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft

-May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours

Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

1. Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.

2. Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.

3. Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition., supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.

4. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.

5. Skill in interpreting and applying complex Department of Defense (DOD), United States Air Force (USAF), Air Force Material Command (AFMC), and Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
