Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) to support students across several school sites for the 2025/2026 academic year. This part-time onsite contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in educational environments, working closely with a dynamic team that includes another BIS and a SpEd Administrator.

As a BIS, you'll collaborate to provide positive behavior interventions and supports, communicate and consult with school teams, and ensure that each student receives appropriate programming and a safe, welcoming learning environment. Your expertise in conducting functional behavior assessments, designing interventions, and informing educational plans will help reinforce positive behaviors and promote academic success.

Qualified applicants may be Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) or Special Education (SpEd) Teachers holding a Tier 3 or 4 license. Please note, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) are not eligible for this role.

Key Qualifications:

• BCBA certification or Tier 3/4 teaching license (if SpEd teacher)
• Experience implementing school-based behavioral supports
• Familiarity with functional behavior assessments (FBAs)
• Strong consultation and communication skills
• Ability to train staff on behavioral strategies
• Calm, flexible approach in crisis situations

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide positive behavior interventions for students across 3-4 assigned school sites
• Consult and collaborate with school teams and administrators
• Conduct FBAs and develop individualized behavior support plans
• Implement de-escalation and redirection techniques as needed
• Deliver staff training on behavioral recommendations and best practices
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
• Maintain a safe, positive environment for all students

This role follows a typical school-day schedule, approximately 18 hours weekly. Flexible site assignments are considered based on need and candidate location.
