Connect Staffing Solutions is hiring an experienced Yard Shipping Agent for a busy outdoor yard operation. This position requires experience operating a 15,000 lb. Sit-Down Forklift and a Stand-Up Reach Truck while handling shipping and receiving duties in a fast-paced environment.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Yard Shipping Agent to join our team. This position is responsible for operating a 15,000 lb. Sit-Down Forklift to safely move, load, unload, and stage steel pipe and other heavy industrial materials in an outdoor yard. The ideal candidate will also have Shipping & Receiving and Stand-Up Reach Truck experience.
Responsibilities- Operate a 15,000 lb. Sit-Down Forklift safely and efficiently
- Move, stage, load, and unload steel pipe and heavy materials
- Operate a Stand-Up Reach Truck for warehouse inventory and storage
- Load and unload flatbed trailers and delivery trucks
- Perform Shipping & Receiving duties
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments
- Maintain an organized and safe yard and warehouse
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience operating a 15K Sit-Down Forklift
- Stand-Up Reach Truck experience required
- Shipping & Receiving experience required
- Experience handling steel pipe, structural steel, or other heavy industrial materials preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be fluent in English (Speak, Read, and Write)
- Candidates living within approximately 15–20 miles of ZIP Code 77066 are preferred
- Pass a Drug Screen
- Pass a Background Check (No violent or theft-related convictions)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify)
- $16.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Full-Time position
- Monday through Friday schedule
