Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position requiring Level IV NICU experience and the ability to float throughout the Children's units.

Details

• Inpatient hospital setting in a Neonatal ICU (NICU)
• Level IV NICU acuity — experience at this level is required
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Floating required throughout all Children's units

Requirements

• Active RN license — Oklahoma state license or current multistate compact license required
• Current certifications required (AHA-issued only): BLS and NRP
• Minimum 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products, and documenting patient responses to nursing interventions
• Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and coordinates care with support staff through delegation
• Engages patients and families in care planning throughout the hospital stay and at discharge
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once for a maximum total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before returning after that
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
