Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU position requiring Level IV NICU experience and the ability to float throughout the children's units, working night shifts at a Level I Trauma hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Details

• Neonatal ICU (NICU) in a Level I Trauma hospital setting
• Level IV NICU patient population
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week)
• Floating required throughout all children's units
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP (both from American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Level I Trauma hospital experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing and monitoring neonatal patients, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and documenting patient responses to nursing interventions
• Communicates care plans with patients' families throughout hospitalization and at discharge, and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• BSN is preferred but not required
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 total weeks before being eligible for a new contract
• Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon offer acceptance — the facility does not allow pushed start dates for non-compliant travelers
