Role Overview
Apply your U.S. compliance law expertise to help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. This remote contract opportunity focuses on producing high-quality, real-world legal input that improves how AI models reason, respond, and perform. AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, review, and annotate legal documents and compliance materials for AI system development.
- Draft detailed explanations, rationales, and responses to complex compliance scenarios for machine-learning datasets.
- Evaluate AI-generated legal content for accuracy, logic, and alignment with U.S. compliance standards.
- Work remotely with project leads and technical specialists on nuanced compliance and regulatory questions.
- Create scenario-based questions and answers reflecting current compliance-law trends and challenges.
- Identify ambiguities and legal risks in AI outputs, then recommend improvements for clarity and precision.
- Provide feedback that supports ongoing refinement of AI training processes.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school and an active attorney license in good standing.
- 3 to 10+ years of recent, substantive compliance-law practice experience in the United States.
- Currently practicing compliance law and based in the United States.
- Expertise in compliance law, legal-document analysis, legal writing, regulatory research, and U.S. law.
- Strong attention to detail, critical-thinking ability, written and verbal communication, and remote collaboration skills.
- Judicial clerkship experience is preferred.
- Experience teaching law courses or legal writing at an accredited law school is a plus.
- Legal-journal editorial experience during law school is highly valued.
Work Terms
- Remote, contract engagement available only to U.S.-based attorneys.
- Compensation is output-based, with payment for tasks that meet project specifications. Completion time may vary based on experience and workflow.
- Minimum submission requirements apply, including a required minimum number of task submissions each week.
- Roles are generally filled within 48 hours. Selected candidates should be ready to begin their first tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing onboarding.
Compensation
$100 to $170 per hour.
