Job Title: Surgical Technologist Inpatient 2 - East-2 Department: East | Operating Room Job Description University Hospitals East is committed to enhancing the quality of care. The Surgical Technologist (ST) is an integral member of the Perioperative Services team, working with nurses, technicians, anesthesiologists, and surgeons to provide patient care and support services. The team aims to improve patient outcomes, service levels, reduce hospital stay length, and decrease costs. The department includes 10 operating rooms on the fourth floor, 4 rooms on the second floor, an endoscopy suite, and a combined Pre‑Op/PACU area. Operating rooms are staffed 5:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with coverage after hours and on weekends. Minimum Qualifications High school graduate, GED, or equivalent and completion of a formal Surgical Technology Training Program. Previous surgical technologist experience preferred. Demonstrated competency to perform essential job functions. Continuous knowledge of patient care issues, quality improvement, cost reduction, current policies, procedures, and protocols. Meeting mandatory educational and health requirements.
