HR/Payroll Assistant

HR / Payroll Coordinator Location: Honolulu, HI Pay: $18–$25/hour Temporary to hire opportunity, Full-time, In-Office Position Overview Bishop & Company is seeking a detail-oriented HR / Payroll Coordinator to support a dynamic organization in Honolulu. This role is responsible for payroll processing, benefits support, and employee communications, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience. Key Responsibilities Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple client accounts Maintain accurate payroll and timekeeping data Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits Communicate with HR/Benefits teams on new hires, terminations, deductions, and leave administration Assist with employee onboarding, orientations, and presentations Support payroll team with administrative tasks and reporting deadlines Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and on time Qualifications Strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures Experience with payroll systems and HRIS tools Familiarity with HR practices and employment policies Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Must currently reside in Hawaii. No relocation offered.
