Payroll Administrator I (Temporary)
Location: Honolulu, HI 
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, in-office)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Approximately 3 months (based on business needs; potential for temp-to-hire)
Pay Rate: $29/hr. 
Parking: Not provided
Position Overview
Bishop & Company is seeking a Payroll Administrator I to support accurate and timely payroll processing for a well-established organization. This role will work closely with HR, Finance, and internal stakeholders to ensure payroll functions are completed efficiently and in compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on time in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Assist employees and managers with payroll-related inquiries and issue resolution
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger worksheets, payroll journals, and tax reporting
• Support benefit-related payroll tax payments and compliance requirements
• Prepare and distribute required tax documents, including W-2s
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll processing
• Administer payroll and timekeeping functions within the company’s HRIS system
• Provide analysis and recommendations for process improvements related to payroll and HR functions
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and data reporting

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2+ years of recent payroll processing experience
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
