EDM - Machine Operator 2nd shift

Written confirmation of an acceptable performance record/evaluation signed by the employee's supervisor and completed no more than 18 months prior to the date of the transfer application. Maintain an acceptable level of performance, including but not limited to absence of corrective actions and/or resolution of previous corrective actions. Successfully pass any special screening processes required for the position of interest, including but not limited to background investigations, drug screens, and skills assessments. A transferred employee may be subject to additional background screening as required by the position. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and experience requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years or more of experience in machining, measuring equipment and CNC EDM set‑up and program editing. Good verbal and written communication skills. Problem‑solving ability. Ability to accurately interpret operation sheets and/or work in‑process documents. Math and computer technology skills, as well as the ability to read and use measurement tools. Responsibilities Comply with the TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) program. Comply with the CTQ (Critical to Quality) program. Set up and operate assigned machine. Solve minor setup problems. Perform safety procedures and general daily housekeeping. Maintain production standards and quality. Ensure regular attendance and punctuality. Adhere to and promote the Corporate Code of Ethical Standards. Ensure compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO‑9000 quality requirements. Operate and set up computerized numerical control machines: Laser CNC - EDM CNC EDM machining centers Utilize measuring tools to inspect parts. Marginal duties and responsibilities (performed occasionally or at irregular intervals): Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment when required. R&D of new programming. Perform manual machining operations. Perform other tasks in the facility as needed. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively in English with supervisors, engineers, and co‑workers. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Demands Regularly required to stand. Frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
