About the Role

You will report to the Senior Manager, Security and develop and execute operational plans, organize work to align with business strategy, and evaluate the results and performance of the functional group. You will manage and oversee the daily operations of the security team, develop and implement security policies and procedures, and ensure the security of Lottery assets, the safety of personnel, and the integrity of Lottery games.

• Plan, organize, and evaluate the work of the unit while creating and sustaining an engaging and inclusive team culture.
• Perform supervisory and talent management responsibilities, including aligning individual performance expectations with organizational goals and collaboratively developing performance goals with direct reports.
• Provide constructive and timely feedback, guidance, coaching, and support. Ensure professional development plans are in place and manage ongoing performance.
• Support employees in addressing and resolving conflicts directly, providing guidance as needed.
• Oversee physical security for all lottery sites, including the closed-circuit television system, building access systems, employee and vendor access controls, intrusion systems, mail room operations, emergency evacuations and fire drills, and responses to medical emergencies and other incidents.
• Prepare and approve budgets and make department-wide financial decisions.
• Provide investigative oversight for problem tickets and ensure compliance with prize validation requirements.
• Oversee security-related contracts.
• Schedule, plan, and coordinate security reviews.
• Assign Security Specialists, as needed, to serve as project leads.
• Interpret and apply laws, rules, and regulations related to security practices and risk mitigation.
• Create project scopes and statements of work for lead assignments.

You Have:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible security or law enforcement experience working with security surveillance equipment such as Closed Circuit Television, access systems, intrusion detection systems, mailroom security or related security programs. Three (3) years of supervisory or management experience; OR
• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible security or law enforcement experience working with security surveillance equipment such as Closed Circuit Television, access systems, intrusion detection systems, mailroom security or related security programs. Three (3) years of supervisory or management experience.

Licenses and Certifications: Employees in this job must maintain a valid driver's license in their state of residence, and a clean driving record in accordance with Lottery vehicle policy and procedure. Driving is an essential function of this job
