About the Position Location Freemont, CA Reports To Chief Executive Officer Summary Specialty Coating Services, or “SpecCoat”, is seeking a Controller to lead and scale the company’s finance function during a period of significant growth and operational transformation. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will play a critical role in strengthening financial processes and improving visibility into the business. This is a highly impactful, hands‑on leadership role where the Controller will take ownership of financial operations, complete a key ERP implementation (NetSuite), and build the systems, processes, and team needed to support the company’s next phase of growth. Job Duties Lead all aspects of accounting and financial operations, including month‑end close, reporting, and internal controls Develop and implement systems for improved inventory and cost tracking, with a strong emphasis on building and refining labor cost accounting in a labor‑driven manufacturing environment Build and enhance financial reporting, KPIs, and dashboards to support data‑driven decision‑making Own and complete the NetSuite implementation, ensuring successful deployment and long‑term scalability Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team on financial planning, analysis, and business strategy Establish scalable processes and controls to support continued growth and complexity Manage and develop the accounting team, with responsibility for hiring and scaling the function over time Support multi‑site operations, including facility expansion and potential M&A activity Required Skills and Experience 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance 5+ years of leadership experience of an accounting or finance function Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance MBA preferred CPA or CMA preferred Background in manufacturing, ideally within electronics, PCBA, or EMS environments Experience in high‑growth or PE‑backed companies strongly preferred Hands‑on experience with NetSuite, including implementation or major system upgrades Strong understanding of cost accounting, particularly in environments where labor is the primary cost driver Blend of accounting and FP&A experience, with ability to provide proactive insights Proven ability to build processes, systems, and teams in a scaling organization Strong leadership, communication, and cross‑functional partnership skills #J-18808-Ljbffr SpecCoat
