Location 8901 CARTI Way,Little Rock, AR, 72205-6523,United States Job Category Nursing Employee Type Exempt Full Time Travel 10% JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Education Coordinator collaborates with leaders and team members across departments to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and revise educational programs for clinical personnel at all levels, as indicated or requested. This role supports orientation, competency programs, in-service education, continuing education, academic partnerships, and career development for CARTI staff. Serves as a clinical education leader and CARTI representative through active involvement in relevant professional nursing organizations. SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assesses, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates comprehensive education programs to meet the orientation, ongoing competency, and professional development needs of company leadership and staff, with a specific focus on clinical team members. Ensures all programs meet organizational and regulatory standards. Adheres to national education practice standards, stays current on relevant research, and incorporates that research into clinical education practice. Provides consultation to enhance continuing education, professional development, and mentorship opportunities. Develops and delivers or coordinates other educational programs as directed (e.g., nursing school student affiliations and guest lecturing, in-services, continuing education, job‑specific and specialty curricula) to support the competence and professional growth of clinical staff. Develops curricula that reflect evidence-based practice and applies teaching methods suited to varied learning styles and environments. Develops and implements the preceptor program to strengthen orientation and staff retention. Provides leadership to preceptors and serves as a role model through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing education. Assists in developing clinical policies and procedures as requested. Mentors colleagues, other nurses, students, and others as appropriate. Engages as an educator in clinical specialties at the local, state, or national level to track education, practice, and regulatory trends affecting clinical staff. Assists with data entry and routine maintenance tasks within resuscitation training and staff compliance/learning management systems, as directed. Maintains active engagement in professional nursing organizations relevant to the specialty area(s) supported (e.g., ONS, AORN, AVA), including participation in continuing education, conferences, or committee involvement. Performs other job‑related duties as assigned. EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION Current RN licensure in Arkansas or a compact multistate license valid for practice in Arkansas. BSN required; NPD-BC (Nursing Professional Development – Board Certified) preferred. Current chemotherapy/biotherapy certification, or completion within six months of hire. One of the following: OCN or VA-BC, current or completion within 12 months of hire; or CNOR, current at hire or completion within [longer window / preferred only], for candidates with prior perioperative clinical experience. Current BLS certification required at hire; ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire. Valid Arkansas Driver's License. EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in direct patient care, including 3 years providing clinical education or instruction (e.g., as a preceptor, clinical instructor, or in a formal educator or professional development role). Experience in one or more of the specialty areas supported by this role (e.g., oncology, perioperative, urology) preferred. Knowledge of USP 800 is preferred. Must display expert knowledge of teaching concepts and principles. Proficiency with standard office and presentation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Canva, Google Slides); familiarity with learning management systems, resuscitation training platform administration, and educational AI tools. Knowledge of licensing and certification requirements for various clinical roles, including RNs, LPNs, APRNs, MAs, CNAs, CRNAs, CTs, and RTs . REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or scheduled form. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form. Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies frequently while respecting the confidentiality of patient information. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Speaking voice must carry in a large room at times. The employee must regularly stand, walk, and sit for long periods. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, the ability to adjust focus to computer work, and adequate vision for driving. This position involves potential exposure to infectious diseases, radiation, and Hazardous Chemotherapy drugs.
