Finance Project AnalystThe Oceaneering Technologies (OTECH) finance group of Oceaneering International has a mid-level opportunity for a full-time Finance Project Analyst supporting the indirect rate development for the division. The Indirect Rate Analyst is responsible for developing, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting indirect rates in support of OTECH financial performance, contract compliance, and annual operating plans (AOP). This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, Contracts, and Program Management to ensure indirect rates are accurate, compliant, and aligned with business strategy.This position will also be responsible for managing the departments indirect spending for Bids and Proposals (B&P), Internal Research and Development (IRAD), and Capital Expenditures/Depreciation.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain indirect rate forecasts and projectionsMonitor actual indirect costs and allocations against AOP targets for division's cost centersAnalyze variances between forecast, budget, and actual resultsIdentify drivers of indirect rate fluctuations and emerging risksSupport rate strategy decisions and mitigation plansEnsure proper cost allocation, pool structure, and base integrityMonitor spending visibility of B&P and IRDReview Capital Expenditure requests and forecast DepreciationQualificationsREQUIREDBachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred, and two-five years of experienceWorking knowledge of indirect rate structures and cost allocationKnowledge of cost accounting principles; Sarbanes-Oxley Act; and U.S. GAAPUnderstanding of FAR cost principles (FAR Part 31 preferred)Strong analytical and excel skillsAble to view the big picture with a good grasp for detailsRequired to be a US Citizen and able to obtain a security clearanceDESIREDExperience supporting AOP and long-range planningKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other CharacteristicsStrong analytical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPointExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA collaborative working style and ability to work across multiple geographies and with a distributed workforceSystematic, solution-oriented and flexibleSolves problems and acts decisively on problems of moderate complexity and financial riskWork independently with limited oversightWe offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
