Project ManagerU.S. Bancorp Asset Management (USBAM) is seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Manager to support the delivery of strategic business and technology initiatives across the organization. This role is ideal for an ambitious professional who combines experience in project management, project coordination, and business analysis with a strong desire to grow into increasingly complex project leadership responsibilities.The Project Manager will lead smaller to mid-sized projects, providing project support through project management and coordination, requirements gathering, test planning, stakeholder engagement, and execution oversight. The successful candidate will be a collaborative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail and organization skills, is comfortable taking ownership and driving work forward with minimal direction, and can effectively translate business needs into actionable plans and solutions.This position partners closely with business leaders, operations teams, technology teams, vendors, risk and compliance partners, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively. Experience in the asset management or financial services industry is highly desirable.Key Responsibilities:Project Management & DeliveryLead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of small to mid-sized business and technology projects, including workstreams within larger strategic initiatives.Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and status reporting to ensure successful outcomes.Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders, applying Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies to drive delivery and support project governance activities.Business Analysis & Requirements ManagementPartner with stakeholders to understand business objectives, operational needs, challenges, and opportunities, translating them into actionable solutions.Facilitate requirements elicitation and document business requirements, user stories, process flows, use cases, and functional specifications.Perform current-state and future-state analysis, gap assessments, and process improvement evaluations while ensuring requirements remain traceable throughout delivery.Project Coordination & Execution SupportCoordinate project meetings, communications, action items, and deliverables to maintain alignment and momentum across teams.Track project health, milestones, dependencies, and resource needs, proactively identifying and escalating challenges.Support budgeting, vendor coordination, and execution activities while continually seeking opportunities to improve delivery effectiveness.Testing & Quality AssuranceCoordinate end-to-end testing activities, including test planning, execution tracking, defect management, and status reporting.Partner with business and technology teams to facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure readiness for implementation.Validate that delivered solutions meet documented requirements, business expectations, and quality standards.Stakeholder Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships across business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, and external vendor teams.Communicate project objectives, progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Influence and drive progress through collaboration, organization, professional communication, and a solutions-oriented approach.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve business processes, project delivery practices, and operational efficiency.Contribute to the ongoing maturity of project management practices within USBAM.Demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - Five to eight years of experience in project management activities Preferred Skills/ExperienceStrong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience in asset management, banking, or broader financial services industry preferred.Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and Microsoft Office applications.Knowledge of business process mapping, workflow analysis, requirements elicitation, and documentation techniques.Professional certifications such as PMP, CAPM, Agile, CBAP, CCBA, or ECBA are preferred but not required.The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.If there's anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.Benefits:Healthcare (medical, dental, vision)Basic term and optional term life insuranceShort-term and long-term disabilityPregnancy disability and parental leave401(k) and employer-funded retirement planPaid vacation (from two to five weeks depending on salary grade and tenure)Up to 11 paid holiday opportunitiesAdoption assistanceSick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 80 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by lawU.S. Bank is an equal opportunity employer. Pay Range: $92,820.00 - $109,200.00
