About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar specialty required License: Must have an active state or compact nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Travel experience required Previous charge experience is preferred Familiarity with Epic charting system required Description: Looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to work in an Intermediate Care setting. Candidates should have experience with a patient ratio of 1:4. Float requirements are in place, and weekend shifts will be necessary. The nurse will be responsible for managing diverse patient care needs, including the administration of medication, monitoring vital signs, and providing support to patients. Experience with trauma level I is preferred. Essential skills include managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line management, and interpretation of arterial blood gases. Candidates should also be proficient in monitoring chemotherapy and managing insulin and cardiac drips. Strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
