Work Environment

The position is full-time and requires onsite work in our Toms River facility, which is positioned within a hospital to ensure seamless multidisciplinary collaboration. Our working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to cater to patient needs and operational demands. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Provide direct patient care by guiding them through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed for physical health enhancement and pain relief.
• Educate patients regarding correct body mechanics and exercise techniques while developing customized home exercise programs to facilitate their rehabilitation journey.
• Administer therapeutic modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat or cold therapy, while adhering to the supervision and directives of the Physical Therapist.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress by tracking data on range of motion, strength improvements, and functional capabilities, ensuring accurate patient records are maintained.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure the organization of therapy equipment and supplies, streamlining operations for each therapy session.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of rehabilitation professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to develop integrated care plans for patients, enhancing their rehabilitation outcomes.
• Provide essential emotional support and encouragement, fostering a positive environment where patients feel motivated and engaged in their rehabilitation.
• Uphold ethical practices and maintain patient confidentiality, always respecting their rights and privacy throughout the rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
• Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions related to physical therapy.
• Proficiency in administering therapeutic exercises and modalities under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the building of rapport with patients and effective collaboration with the healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
