Job Title : CNC Machining Operator - 2nd Shift Location : Cromwell, CT 06416 Pay rate : $20.90 - $25.30/hr + 10% Shift Differential Work schedule : 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday - Friday Overview The CNC Machining Operator works in a production environment to set up and operate machining equipment. This position focuses on utilizing mechanical aptitude to run machinery, monitor production quality, and ensure operations run smoothly and safely. Machining experience is not required, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals with general manufacturing experience and strong technical or mechanical tracking skills. Job Specifications Daily Responsibilities Machine Operation : Operate CNC and related production machinery safely and efficiently according to established guidelines. Production & Tracking : Monitor manufacturing runs to produce standard or customized components; track output metrics and report discrepancies. Quality Assurance : Conduct routine inspections of finished pieces to ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards. Maintenance & Setup : Perform minor mechanical adjustments and assist in basic machine setup under the direction of a lead or supervisor. Safety Compliance : Adhere to all facility safety rules, utilize machine guarding and interlocks properly, and maintain a clean workstation. Must Have Skills / Requirements Mechanical Aptitude : Strong understanding of mechanics, how tools operate, and troubleshooting basic hardware issues. Detail Orientation : Ability to follow strict operational instructions, work blueprints, or technical workflows precisely. Physical Demands : Ability to stand for the duration of the shift, perform repetitive movements, and lift up to 30–50 lbs as required by typical production tasks. Reliability : Consistent and punctual attendance is required to support the daily production schedule. Education & Experience Education : High School Diploma or GED. Experience : No machining experience required; previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is highly preferred. Additional Notes Position Count: 2 open positions.
