Assistant Superintendent — Multifamily Construction

About the Project

We're building a 210-unit, 7-building multifamily community on 7.5 acres in Bloomington, IL. With repetitive building types and overlapping scopes, this project rewards someone who's sharp on sequencing, tight on quality, and able to manage multiple subcontractor crews at once.

What You'll Do

- Oversee day-to-day field operations on assigned buildings under the direction of the Superintendent

- Manage and coordinate subcontractor schedules, scope, and performance

- Enforce quality control standards across framing, MEP rough-ins, and finish work

- Conduct daily site walks; document progress, issues, and corrective actions

- Lead toolbox talks and support the project safety program

- Coordinate inspections with local AHJ and ensure timely approvals

- Assist the Superintendent with look-ahead scheduling and manpower planning

What We're Looking For

- 3–7 years in construction field supervision, multifamily experience strongly preferred

- Proven experience managing subs across multiple concurrent scopes

- Solid understanding of wood-frame construction, MEP coordination, and finish sequencing

- OSHA 30 certified (or willing to obtain)

- Proficiency with Procore and scheduling tools

- Strong communicator — you'll interface with subs, owners, and inspectors daily

- Ability to read and interpret full construction document sets
