As a Security Officer Armed Part Time Driver in Clinton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries including government. In this part‑time role you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with strong communication and customer service. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Thursday: 05:45 AM – 06:00 PM; Sunday: 05:45 AM – 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to people at the location by following site‑specific procedures, access control practices, and emergency response activities appropriate to a government corrections environment. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and public agency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones, remaining alert to unusual activity, unauthorized access, and other security‑related concerns. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or permissions when required, and help deter prohibited items, contraband, and unauthorized movement within restricted areas. Prepare clear, timely reports on patrol activity, incidents, policy violations, and other security‑related matters, and support post orders and directives from Allied Universal and the location. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card/license is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
