Production Planner

What You Will DoThe Material Planner is responsible to plan and monitor the flow of material from receipt of demand through the manufacturing process. They are responsible for synchronizing material availability with final assembly build schedules for their assigned work centers. They will maintain and adjust line side inventory sizes, internal Kanban sizes, and safety stock sizes to meet customer schedules. They are responsible to create job orders, ensure jobs are completed on time, and job orders are delivered to shipping to meet the customer’s schedule in accordance with the backlog.Primary ResponsibilitiesCollects shortage information and expedite materials to jobs as requiredDefines and proactively adjusts inventory levels (line side inventory, internal Kanban, safety stock, finished goods)Recommends and implements ideas to improve product velocity, right-size inventory levels, and reduced overall costsManages complex bills of materialsManages and executes complex engineering change ordersManages obsolescence and stock depletionCreates and regularly updates lines of balanceReschedules job orders to meet customer schedulesInputs job order status and delivery information for Customer ServiceMaintain item master modifiersLeads meetings with regards materials needsPreferred Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.5 or more years of relevant experience preferred.Skills and abilitiesDemonstrated experience in the practical application of MRP, scheduling, order policies and modifiers, capacity planning, product structures, shop floor control, and product familiesProficient with ExcelAbility to trouble shoot and resolve material’s issuesExcellent oral and good written communication skills.Must be a team player and have sound judgment and analytical abilities.Must have strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritize activities.Knowledgeable in master scheduling and demand managementAPICS or equivalent training preferred.Must be proficient with MS SuiteAbility to work independently with minimal supervisory inputsDay Shift Work Schedule 6.00 AM – 2:30 PM Pay Range: The typical hiring range for this role is:Level II: $31.73 - $48.08Final offers are based on job-related qualifications and pay equity.Korry Electronics Competitive Benefits Package:401(k) matching12 paid holidaysMinimum of three weeks paid time off plus one week paid sick time to startComprehensive Medical, Dental and VisionHealth Savings Account (HSA) with generous company contributionFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Tuition reimbursementParental leaveShort term and long term disabilityLife insuranceAccidental death & dismemberment insuranceLong-term care plan optionsPrescription safety shoe & glasses benefitVanpool subsidyRecognition awardsEmployee referral bonusesEAP (Employee Assistance Program)Korry Electronics is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
