RN - CVICU

CVICU RN - 3x12-Hour Days

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12-hour Days, 07:30 AM - 08:00 PM. Every other weekend and holidays required as scheduled.

The CVICU RN will provide care for patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. Responsibilities include managing complex cardiac patients post-surgery, including CABG, valve repairs, and related diagnoses.

Arterial line management and central line care/management.

Continuous IV sedation and paralysis management.

Assist with chest tube insertion/removal.

Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients.

Blood product administration and interpretation of arterial blood gases.

Post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients.

Monitor and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips.

Active MD RN license.

ACLS and BLS certifications required.

A minimum of 2 years of CVICU or open-heart experience preferred.

Experience with charting systems, ideally Epic.
