Identify and propose solutions to routine problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform Environmental Site Assessments and conduct building material sampling. Conduct screening of soil and groundwater for various environmental impacts. Oversee remediation efforts and coordinate monitoring and testing services to attain regulatory compliance. Demonstrate understanding of construction‑related activities and associated safe‑work practices. Document test results and review test data for accuracy and completeness. Assist with data collection and report preparation. Work with project manager and client to ensure that project objectives are met. Skills and Competencies Ability to conduct data analysis. Problem‑solving skills. Critical thinking skills. Mechanical aptitude. Attention to detail. Written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of regulatory compliance and reporting. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in geology, ecology, environmental studies, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, urban studies, or a related scientific program. Experience and/or Training: Minimum of 12 months of experience working in the environmental consulting industry as an environmental project manager or in a similar position. Licenses/Certificates: Current driver’s license required. Physical and Mental Demands Essential: Hearing and vision (both correctable), continuous sitting or standing at a desk or workstation, wrist turning, grasping, pinching, and finger manipulation. Typical computer work and phone use (65%–100% of working time). Frequent walking, lifting or carrying up to 10 lbs, turning and twisting (30%–64% of working time). Occasional reaching, lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs, and push/pull up to 10 lbs (11%–29% of working time). Rarely taste/smell, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders, lifts or scaffolding (0%–9% of working time). Working Environment Usually an office environment with computer, telephone, and other office equipment. Frequent interruptions throughout the day are likely. Worksite environments may involve outdoor conditions in all weather and/or tightly enclosed areas with uneven walking surfaces.
