Seeking a dedicated full-time pharmacist for a 50-bed rehabilitation hospital in Sacramento, CA. This position offers a valuable opportunity to engage in a dynamic hospital pharmacy setting, with the possibility to transition from contract to permanent employment. The role’s start date is expected within the next 2 to 3 weeks, with a contract duration of approximately 13 weeks.

Key responsibilities include order verification to ensure accuracy and safety, supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient operations, and applying pharmacokinetics principles to optimize patient medication therapy. The pharmacist in this role plays a critical part in supporting the patient care team within the rehab hospital environment.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shifts

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California pharmacist license
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience, preferably within inpatient or rehabilitation settings
• Strong communication skills and a positive, collaborative attitude
• Ability to supervise and lead pharmacy technicians effectively
