Community Support Associate

Credentials Required : High School Diploma/GED,  and 1 (one) year full-time working with individuals who receive treatment services for treatment of a mental health/co-occurring disorder.

Special skills needed : Interpersonal and written communication skills, computer skills, organized, dependable.

Primary Functions :

• Teaching skills to adults with Serious Mental Illness including daily living activities, crisis coping, emotional regulation, and medication side effects.
• Document activities with clients in the electronic medical record.
• Complete all assigned work in a timely manner including required continuing education courses.
• Assist individuals to live with maximum independence in the community.
• Assist individuals to take medications, monitor symptoms, and monitor side effects of medication.
• Teach individuals skills for living in the community, budgeting money, and keeping the home safe and clean.
• Assist clients with transportation to appointments
