Sr. Platform Engineer

Job Description

One of Insight Global's customers is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to help design, build, and modernize their enterprise endpoint management platform. This role is focused on engineering and solution development rather than day-to-day administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating scalable endpoint management capabilities across Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows Autopilot, and Microsoft 365 technologies.

This individual will partner with infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, and support teams to evaluate business and technical requirements, architect solutions, build automation, establish governance standards, and implement platform enhancements that improve the employee experience while maintaining a secure and compliant environment. They will play a key role in endpoint modernization initiatives, including designing provisioning workflows, developing compliance and configuration standards, automating manual processes through PowerShell, and building scalable solutions that support a growing enterprise environment. This is a remote opportunity and a 6-month contract-to-hire.

Skills and Requirements

6+ years of experience designing, engineering, and implementing enterprise endpoint management solutions

Expert-level experience with Microsoft Intune, including policy design, endpoint architecture, device provisioning, and platform enablement

Strong experience building and implementing Microsoft Entra ID solutions and device identity strategies

Experience designing and supporting Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365, or enterprise VDI environments

Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience, including developing scalable solutions from the ground up

Experience building endpoint provisioning frameworks utilizing Windows Autopilot

Strong understanding of endpoint security, compliance frameworks, configuration profiles, and security baseline design

Experience creating governance, standards, and scalable endpoint management processes

Experience leading technical initiatives, platform modernization efforts, or enterprise endpoint projects

Strong communication skills with leadership, engineering teams, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders Microsoft Endpoint Management, Azure, or Modern Workplace certifications

Experience with Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, and Zero Trust initiatives

Experience building enterprise automation frameworks utilizing PowerShell, Graph API, or related technologies

ITIL or Change Management experience

Experience working within large enterprise environments

Experience supporting vulnerability remediation and endpoint security initiatives
