About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Stepdown / Direct Observation Unit (DOU) in Los Angeles, CA. The RN will provide high-quality patient care to individuals requiring close monitoring but not intensive care unit (ICU) level support.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown / DOU setting
Monitor patients with cardiac, respiratory, and post-surgical conditions
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (State of California) – must be in hand
Minimum 2 years of Stepdown / DOU experience
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
