Senior Java Backend Engineer (W2 Contract – Local to Bellevue Only) Location: Bellevue, WA (Onsite – In-Person Interview Required) Employment Type: W2 Contract Duration: 12 Months Rate: Up to $60/hr (W2) Experience: 13+ Years Required Job Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our client team in Bellevue, WA . This is a local-only , onsite role and requires an in-person interview . The ideal candidate will be a strong hands‑on coder with deep expertise in microservices , Spring Boot , and cloud platforms ( AWS/Azure/GCP ). Excellent communication skills are a must. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot . Build scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs. Work with cloud environments ( AWS, Azure, or GCP ) to deploy, monitor, and optimize applications. Participate in design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and QA. Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability and reliability. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with strong unit test coverage. Required Skills & Experience 13+ years of hands‑on experience in Java backend development . Strong expertise in microservices architecture and Spring Boot . Solid experience with cloud platforms ( AWS, Azure, or GCP ). Proven ability to design and build scalable distributed systems. Excellent coding, debugging, and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
