Senior Full-Stack .NET Modernization Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack .NET Modernization Developer to lead the modernization of enterprise web applications from legacy ASP.NET architectures to modern .NET, Azure, API-first, and React-based solutions .

This is a hands-on development and modernization role focused on technical design, application architecture, cloud integration, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Modernize legacy ASP.NET applications to modern .NET platforms.

• Design and implement scalable, secure, maintainable application architectures.

• Develop applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, .NET 6/7/8+ , and modern development patterns.

• Design and maintain RESTful APIs and API-first integrations.

• Develop cloud-native solutions using Azure App Services, Azure Functions , and related Azure services.

• Manage and optimize SQL Server , including stored procedures, T-SQL, performance tuning, schema migrations, and data cleanup.

• Build and maintain React-based UI components within existing enterprise applications.

• Work with client-side rendering, server-side rendering, component-based architectures, and modern frontend frameworks.

• Integrate third-party services and internal APIs.

• Develop and maintain reporting solutions using Power BI and SSRS .

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.

• Participate in AI integration initiatives using Azure AI services, Copilot tooling, and chatbot technologies.

• Perform code reviews, architecture reviews, automation, testing, and technical documentation.

• Provide production support and independently perform root-cause analysis.

• Maintain deployment runbooks, application documentation, and user-facing technical guides.

• Work in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.

• Ensure application security, accessibility, data integrity, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional .NET development experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.

• Hands-on experience modernizing legacy ASP.NET applications to modern .NET platforms.

• Strong production experience with SQL Server, stored procedures, T-SQL, database performance tuning, schema migrations, and data management .

• Hands-on experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, deployment pipelines, and configuration management .

• 5+ years of Agile software development experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub.

• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs .

• Strong experience independently troubleshooting and resolving production application issues.

Preferred / Additional Qualifications

• 3+ years of React experience, particularly building components within existing enterprise applications.

• Exposure to .NET 10 .

• 3+ years of Power BI or SSRS development.

• Experience with government, healthcare, or other regulated enterprise systems.

• Knowledge of ADA / WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

• Experience with Azure Agentic AI services or production AI integrations.

• Experience with middleware platforms such as Boomi or MuleSoft .

• Experience working with PII and enterprise data security .

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
