The Journeyman Electrician plays a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Working independently or within a small team, this position requires expertise in wiring, safety compliance, and equipment repair to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely. The role involves interpreting blueprints and adhering strictly to electrical codes, using standard electrical tools and diagnostic testing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot electrical issues
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Test electrical equipment and perform necessary repairs
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records
- Speak with customers and represent the company in a professional manner
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in electrical work
