America’s Test Kitchen is looking for a Manager, Martech & Operations to serve as our primary division lead for the technical and data infrastructure that powers lifecycle marketing communications across America’s Test Kitchen brands. 

Reporting into the Marketing team, this role sits at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology, overseeing how audience data flows into our platforms and ensuring that every email, push, and triggered communication reaches the right home cook, at the right time, with the right experience.

You’ll own audience segmentation, targeting, and deployment for our lifecycle program, while also leading our martech stack and key vendor relationships. This is a highly cross-functional role: you’ll partner closely with Marketing, Product, Analytics, and Engineering to keep our campaigns accurate, reliable, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities:

Lifecycle Campaign Operations

• Own audience sizing and segmentation for lifecycle campaigns
• Manage email and push targeting across the lifecycle program
• Own email deployment management, including build, scheduling, and send execution
• Lead QA across campaign setup, audience pulls, and pre-send validation
• Own linking and deeplinking execution, ensuring links behave as expected across email, push, web, and app

Martech Stack & Vendor Leadership

• Serve as the lead point of contact for our martech stack, particularly at the intersection of internal tooling and how data flows into our customer engagement platform
• Act as the primary internal owner of our customer engagement platform (e.g., Braze) relationship and main point of contact with that vendor
• Lead data infrastructure projects with technical delivery partners, including ownership of how data reaches our engagement platform
• Serve as an internal stakeholder for reporting builds and priorities with our data/analytics partners

Data Flows & Audience Integrity

• Own end-to-end data pipelines (analytics platform ? customer engagement platform ? downstream systems)
• Ensure audience logic is accurate, scalable, and consistently refreshed
• Manage dependencies across Product, Data, and Engineering
• Conduct ongoing QA of events, attributes, and campaign triggers
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies

Campaign Execution Reliability

• Ensure campaigns trigger correctly and consistently
• Manage edge cases such as trial status, offer eligibility, and other user states
• Reduce the risk of broken or misfired lifecycle campaigns
• Create clear documentation of data definitions, flows, and campaign logic

Segmentation & Lifecycle Enablement

• Build and maintain complex audience segmentation (e.g., trial, churn risk, engagement tiers)
• Enable triggered and personalized lifecycle campaigns
• Support experimentation and testing infrastructure
• Enable long-term scalability of the lifecycle program

Linking & Cross-Platform Experience

• Define and enforce expected linking behavior across email, push, web, and app
• Validate URL handling, app opens, and fallback experiences
• Troubleshoot cross-platform inconsistencies impacting onboarding and engagement

Transactional Email & Offer Support

• Serve as the primary owner for transactional emails, including monitoring sends and results, and coordinating data updates related to email content, endpoints, and webhooks
• Support subscription offer launches, pricing updates, and operational reviews in partnership with the broader marketing team

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as the bridge between Marketing, Product, Data, and Engineering
• Drive prioritization and execution of martech dependencies
• Ensure clear ownership and follow-through on technical work

Qualifications:

• 4-7+ years of experience in marketing technology or CRM/lifecycle marketing operations
• Hands-on experience with a customer engagement platform, preferably Braze
• Experience with customer data/product analytics platforms such as Mixpanel and Looker
• Working proficiency in SQL and Python for audience segmentation and data validation
• Familiarity with deep linking, mobile/web attribution, and cross-platform user experiences
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering across Marketing, Product, Data, and Engineering
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to QA and data integrity
• Experience in a subscription or membership-based business and a genuine interest in cooking is a plus

This position is located in our Boston, MA office in the Seaport district. It is the expectation that the person in this role will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) in the office and 2 days per week remotely. Fully remote work is not available for this role. 

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $95,000

The range provided is based on what we reasonably expect to pay for this job as of the time of posting. The actual salary offered will be determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, job-related knowledge, skills, geographical location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
