Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of OR experience and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties.

Job Details

• Surgical Services unit providing perioperative care,
• Experience required in ortho, general, vascular, urology, and thoracic/AAA procedures,
• Day shift 6:30a-7p, 3 days a week,
• Call required every 5th weekend and every 15th Friday night,
• Additional on-call coverage 7p-9:30p approximately once a month,
• Uses Epic EMR,

Job Requirements

• Active KY RN license or compact license,
• BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required,
• 2 years of acute care RN experience required,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required,

Additional Information

• Perform patient assessments and reassessments, developing and implementing individualized plans of care,
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and patients/families to support care needs,
• Provide patient and family education specific to surgical care and discharge planning,
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff while serving as a mentor/preceptor,
• Participate in quality, safety, and service process improvement initiatives,
• Comply with regulatory standards and practice governance model
