Job Summary and Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:

*Responsible for the overall operations of the laboratory for the night shift. This includes providing and supervising high-quality lab tests, quality control, preventive maintenance of equipment, computer activities, and collection of specimens. You will coordinate the technical and administrative operations of all sections of the Laboratory.

*Ensures STAT, routine testing, and critical value reporting meet established turnaround times

*Performs all Lab Section Management activities to include but not limited to: staff training and development

*Serves as a liaison between laboratory staff, health care providers, department managers, and health care entities to facilitate communication and coordination regarding services and results.

*Maintains work schedules and assignments for MLS, MLT, Lab Assistants and Phlebotomists.

*Accepts accountability for completion of assignments, demonstrates reliability and dependability (including compliance with the attendance policy), and utilizes time and material cost-effectively.

*Reflects HCA values and its ethical and compliance principles in his/her daily activities (Code of Conduct).

+Strong problem solving, management, prioritization, and leadership skills necessary.

Bachelors Degree(HTL-ASCP) Histotechnologist, or (MLS) Medical Laboratory Scientist, or (CG-ASCP) Technologist in Cytogenetics, or (MT-AAB) Medical Technologist No Travel Required 1 years experience Required Years of Experience
