Position Details

Role: Veterinary Assistant
Status: Part-time
Salary: $16 - $17.50 /hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays

What You'll Do

• Obtain thorough patient histories, vitals, and patient assessments
• Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, cleanup, and instrument care
• Educate clients with compassion, clarity, and confidence
• Maintain clean, stocked treatment and exam areas while following infection-control protocols
• Handle client concerns professionally and escalate when appropriate
• Educate clients on preventive care recommendations and next steps
• Support hospital cleanliness throughout treatment, kennel, and patient care areas
• Collaborate with veterinarians and team members to provide excellent patient care
• Assist with daily hospital operations and workflow
