Responsibilities Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provide patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrate knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and pathology. Provide patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicate effectively with staff and radiologists. Participate as part of a Piedmont internal agency pool used to fill critical or urgent staffing needs through designated assignments at Piedmont hospitals. Qualifications Education : Graduate of an accredited AMA‑approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT‑accredited hospital‑based training program, or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). Work Experience : 2 years of work experience as an Ultrasound Technologist. Licenses and Certifications Registered by the ARDMS and/or RVS/RVT. Vascular Sonographer – registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS). Breast Ultrasound – licensure requirement can be met with registration through ARRT (BS). BLS certified.
