Primary Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and/or screening mammography to include general radiographic studies, if applicable, according to policies, procedures and protocols of the KSC radiology department.
• Participate in Technical Quality Control measures which include performance of routine equipment maintenance and reporting malfunctions or variances of performance of all equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
• Use RIS system correctly, according to Clinic and Department guidelines and properly document atypical conditions which could affect image quality.
• Conscious of radiation safety measures and demonstrate competence in the selection and use of shielding devices.
• Participate in formal and in service training programs of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, department specific in services, and any applicable site specific training.
• Interact effectively with patients and coworkers, including staff assigned to other locations.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
• 40 hours mammography training approved by the ARRT to meet the minimum initial FDA & TDH requirements for mammographers
• ARRT (R)
• MRT-General Certificate
• BCLS certification
• Working knowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements
• Ability to use computer keyboard
• Proven excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in radiologic technology
• ARRT (R)(M)
• Experience as a mammography technologist
• Experience performing stereotactic guided breast biopsies
• RIS experience
• Bilingual

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $29 - $52 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
