Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist

Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in Aurora, CO at a hospital. You will function as a member of a cardiac team, assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room during cardiovascular surgical procedures. You will ensure patient safety by preparing the operating room, sterilizing and organizing equipment, and providing direct support to the surgical team and providers.

Minimum Requirements

• Current NBSTSA certification as a Surgical Technologist (or equivalent certification from an NBSTSA-accredited program).
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care CVOR technologist experience in a hospital setting.
• DORA certification in hand.
• Proficiency in Open Heart procedures experience.
• Experience with GE and Stryker equipment preferred.
• Meditech EMR experience preferred.
• Ability to float within 25 miles of the facility when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel CVOR technologist experience in large trauma facilities.
• Cardiovascular-specific experience including familiarity with CABG, AAA, TAVR, and valve replacement procedures.
• Flexible, team-oriented communication style focused on patient experience.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 07:00 - 17:00.
• Teams: Day teams comprised of two RNs and one CST tech; night teams comprised of one RN and one CST tech.
• Patient ratio typically 1:1 for cardiac cases.
• Must float within a 25-mile radius when needed.
• Call requirements vary and will be discussed at interview.
• No weekends required.
