Job Description

Job Summary:
The Rapid Response CST CVOR performs specialized cardiovascular operating room procedures, floating between multiple hospital sites to support surgical teams. This role requires a highly skilled, adaptable professional capable of handling urgent patient needs and complex surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced CVOR procedures such as AVR, MVR, CABG, Bentall, and Dissection in a fast-paced environment.
• Respond to rapid response calls within 30 minutes, providing immediate assistance and support.
• Adhere to all unit policies and safety protocols, ensuring quality patient care.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia, and support staff to facilitate efficient procedural workflows.
• Maintain all required certifications (BLS, NBSTA, DORA) and demonstrate proficiency in open heat and Meditech EMR systems.
• Flexibly work day/evening shifts and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 1 year of current acute care CVOR hospital experience.
• Hold active BLS, DORA, and NBSTA certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Open Heat procedures and Meditech EMR.
• Have experience with complex cardiac surgeries including AVR, MVR, CABG, and Dissection.
• Be a team player with high accountability and self-direction.
• Trauma and Level I experience are preferred.
