Job Description

The Overhead Crane Operator reports to the Plant Operations Manager and supports production-line operations, shipping and receiving, and material staging and transfer on a fixed daytime schedule. This role operates monorail cranes to handle heavy industrial loads while maintaining safe, accurate, and efficient material movement.

Responsibilities

• Operate monorail overhead cranes to move heavy industrial loads.
• Handle, position, stage, and transfer materials throughout the worksite.
• Support production-line activities, shipping and receiving, and material movement.
• Follow safety requirements and OSHA safety standards during crane operations.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential operating or safety concerns.
• Use computers and related systems to support daily operations and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of quality inspection experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating overhead cranes.
• Equipment inspection experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with micrometers.
• Strong team communication skills.
• Computer skills.
