Lead Specialist – Inspection Test Set The Lead Specialist– Inspection Test Set will work in the Central Technical Services team supporting Parenteral products for sites in the US, EU, and China. The primary purpose is to fabricate defect kits, used throughout the network for inspection qualifications for people and equipment. These product defect kits represent potential product defects such as particles, glass defects, seal defects across different sterile product presentations (vials, cartridges, syringes). The role is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and uses low‑impact equipment to create unique product‑specific defect scenarios. Responsibilities Adhere to Eli Lilly Manufacturing and Quality safety policies and procedures; contribute to a safe work environment. Fabricate product presentation test sets according to instructions and schedule. Maintain compliance with standard operating procedures, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and safety policies and procedures. Construct and maintain Inspection Test Sets according to instructions, abiding by the Lilly culture of integrity, excellence, and respect for people. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely, and supporting all Health and Safety Corporate and site goals. Qualifications 2‑year degree or 4 years Pharmaceutical Industry work experience in Laboratory, Science, Engineering, or Visual Inspection. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. Must pass a post‑offer physical exam, eye exam, and not be colour‑blind. Strong attention to detail in carrying out instructions. Technical dexterity to manipulate and form small particles/defects. Basic math skills, including evaluation of data results. Basic computer skills for monitoring equipment status and documenting production activities. Excellent documentation skills. Proven teamwork and ability to work in close proximity and in conjunction with team. Additional Preferences Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Experience with GMPs. Fabrication experience (assembly, lab experience, 3D printing, laser, microscope). Manual, automated, and semi‑automated inspection experience. Previous pharmaceutical manufacturing experience. Ability to wear safety equipment (safety glasses, safety shoes, protective gloves, etc.). Primary role is day‑shift, Monday‑Friday, but willingness to work overtime, weekends, and off‑shifts when required. Autonomous; ability to self‑guide work and complete tasks in a quality and timely manner upon provided instruction. Compensation and Benefits Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $28.84 – $46.54.
