Based in West Conshohocken, PA, Matterhorn Capital (“Matterhorn”) is an opportunistic private credit fund that seeks investments in corporate and real estate debt. 

Position Overview

Matterhorn is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and relationship-oriented professional to support the firm’s corporate business development and investment sourcing efforts. This individual will work closely with senior investment professionals to expand Matterhorn’s network of intermediaries, originate new investment opportunities, and enhance the firm’s presence within the broader investment community.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key deal intermediaries and referral sources, including: 

o Investment banks and brokers;

o Private equity and growth equity firms;

o Private credit funds;

o Wealth management firms;

o Operating partners and industry executives; and

o Attorneys, accountants, and other professional advisors.

• Expand Matterhorn’s pipeline of actionable corporate investment opportunities aligned with the firm’s investment strategy and underwriting criteria 

• Drive incremental deal flow and closed transactions through newly developed sourcing channels and strategic relationships 

• Partner with the Head of Corporate to identify and evaluate new industry verticals and thematic investment opportunities 

• Design and execute targeted business development initiatives focused on prospective borrowers, operating partners, and industry intermediaries 

• Maintain accurate and organized tracking of sourcing activity, pipeline developments, and relationship management efforts within Matterhorn’s CRM system 

• Represent Matterhorn at industry conferences, networking events, and investment community functions 

• Assist with the development, enhancement, and maintenance of corporate marketing and investor communication materials

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4–8 years of experience in business development, sponsor coverage, investment banking, capital markets, private credit, commercial banking, financial services, or related relationship-driven roles preferred

• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships across the investment and advisory community 

• Strong networking, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the firm effectively in external settings 

• Highly organized, process-oriented, and capable of managing multiple ongoing relationships and initiatives simultaneously 

• Self-starter with a proactive approach to sourcing opportunities and expanding business development channels
