Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager

Role Overview Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager at HDR responsible for planning, directing, and monitoring multidisciplinary water projects, delivering safe drinking water and wastewater treatment, and ensuring protection of public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience. Primary Responsibilities Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of multidisciplinary Water/Wastewater/Water Resources or other water‑related projects. Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently. Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings. Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines. Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on schedule. Work with the Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller or Company Controller and Department Manager or Managing Principal for project reviews. Implement QA/QC procedures. Execute training for personnel as established by strategic plans. Supervise project staff and act as mentor for less‑experienced Project Managers. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering. 10 years related experience. A minimum 5 years project management experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license. MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be a plus). Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 15 years water/wastewater project engineering experience, including a minimum of 5 years in project management and experience with complex water/wastewater projects such as condition assessments, planning and design of collection systems, distribution systems and/or treatment plant projects. PE in New York or New Jersey. Preference for candidates residing locally in the NY/NJ area. Compensation Estimated base salary ranges by location: Albany, NY: $129,780 - $185,400; Newark, NJ: $155,736 - $222,480; New York, NY: $162,225 - $231,750; White Plains, NY: $162,225 - $231,750; Woodcliff Lake, NJ: $162,225 - $231,750.
