Job Description The Sterile Processing Technician I performs routine work in the decontamination, assembly, testing, and instruments in a medical facility, under the supervision of the Supervisor of Sterile Processing. Required Qualifications National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire Preferred Qualifications Coursework/Training - Vocational training in Sterile Processing, decontamination/sterilization procedures, supply distribution or related job experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical laboratory. Coursework/Training - Sterile Processing class, training, or vocational education. CBSPD or IAHCSMM Certification upon hire.
