ASRT Registered CT Technologist PRN

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as a part-time CT Technologist. This role involves operating advanced diagnostic imaging equipment to assist in medical diagnosis and treatment, ensuring high-quality patient care and accurate radiographic imaging.

Job Summary

As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for producing precise radiographs of designated body parts, maintaining detailed records, and communicating findings effectively with healthcare providers. Compassionate patient care and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and compassionate care to patients during imaging procedures.
• Accurately position patients using accessory devices and instruct on breathing techniques.
• Operate X-Ray and CT equipment following health and safety regulations and departmental guidelines.
• Perform clerical duties including patient reception, documentation, charging, and exam sign-out.
• Occasionally assist with scheduling for Mammography, X-Ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound exams.
• Maintain sterile techniques to prevent contamination.
• Participate in quality assurance and quality control programs.
• Ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
• Attend departmental meetings and contribute to infection control by maintaining cleanliness of exam rooms.
• Enter patient information into Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and assist with special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• At least one year of radiologic technologist experience preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent registry as a Radiologic Technologist and CT Technologist; required within one year of hire.
• Current and unrestricted Radiologic Technologist Certification through the state Department of Health.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Skills and Abilities

• Comprehensive knowledge of radiographic equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to adapt exams to patient needs and resolve issues effectively.
• Understanding of age-specific growth and development principles to tailor patient care.
• Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office, PACS, and RIS software.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work on-call shifts as assigned.

Work Environment

This position offers 12-hour shifts on a contract basis within a 40-hour workweek. The role is based in a regional healthcare setting in the Pacific Northwest, providing access to a supportive community and a variety of outdoor recreational activities.
