Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level I Trauma Center
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient ratio of 1:12 utilizing a team nursing model, which effectively results in a 1:6 or 1:7 ratio per RN when splitting the caseload with an LPN and medication nurse
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend shifts required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered and must be discussed during interview
• Floating may occur between similar units and campuses within 20 miles
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required
• ADN or higher required for this position
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; RTO submitted after an offer is extended will not be considered
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return
• First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have 5+ years of experience in the specialty
