Facility Bone and Joint Center: 3555 S National Ave, Springfield, Missouri, United States of America, 65807 Department 1243 Physical Med and Rehab SGF Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Hours 8:00am-4:30pm Work Shift Day Shift (United States of America) Job Description The MA III performs administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records under the supervision of a provider. Clinical duties include: Measuring and recording vital signs. Collecting demographics or medical information and reviewing medication lists. Preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and equipment, and stocking supplies. Administering medications. Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Required effective 9/1/20: Graduation from a formal MA training program that included pharmacology, anatomy/physiology, basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship. Experience Required: None. Preferred: Previous experience involving direct contact with people. Preferred: Previous experience in a health care setting, particularly an ambulatory clinic. Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Proficient computer skills. Ability to carry out delegated tasks under provider supervision. Licensure/Certification/Registration Required: Certification or registration from a CoxHealth‑approved program (CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP).
