Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to lead large-scale, customer-facing AI, infrastructure, and technology transformation programs from discovery through implementation and operational handoff.

This role serves as the primary program management lead for complex customer engagements, driving execution across cross-functional technical teams while ensuring successful delivery against scope, timeline, budget, and customer objectives.

This position is highly customer-facing and requires deep expertise in technical program management, stakeholder engagement, project governance, and delivery execution. The successful candidate will partner closely with customers, sales, solution architects, engineers, implementation teams, and executive stakeholders to deliver high-impact AI and infrastructure initiatives.

This is a senior individual contributor role focused on direct program leadership, execution excellence, and technical delivery oversight across strategic customer programs.

Role Description

Technical Program Leadership

• Lead strategic customer-facing AI, infrastructure, cloud, and technology transformation programs from initial discovery through production deployment.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, roadmaps, delivery schedules, resource plans, and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, architecture, delivery, operations, security, facilities, vendors, and customer organizations.
• Drive alignment between technical requirements, business objectives, customer expectations, and delivery milestones.
• Manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously while maintaining program-level visibility and accountability.

Customer Engagement & Delivery

• Serve as the primary program management contact for major customer initiatives.
• Facilitate executive steering committees, customer business reviews, status meetings, risk reviews, and escalation management.
• Build trusted relationships with customer leadership and project stakeholders.
• Ensure successful delivery of contracted Statements of Work (SOWs) and achievement of program success criteria.
• Identify and resolve program risks, issues, dependencies, and resource conflicts before they impact delivery.

Technical Planning & Execution

• Lead technical deployment planning for AI infrastructure, cloud, data center, networking, storage, and modernization initiatives.
• Translate complex technical requirements into integrated program plans, workstreams, milestones, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate implementation activities across internal technical teams, external vendors, contractors, and customer resources.
• Oversee architecture checkpoints, readiness reviews, testing strategies, deployment planning, cutover activities, and operational transition plans.
• Manage technical dependencies across hardware, software, networking, power, cooling, facilities, security, and operational teams.
• Ensure compliance with project management standards, documentation requirements, and operational best practices.

Program Controls & Governance

• Develop executive dashboards, status reports, KPI tracking, and program scorecards.
• Monitor program schedules, budgets, resource utilization, milestone completion, and delivery quality.
• Facilitate RAID management for risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
• Manage change requests, scope adjustments, decision logs, and customer communications.
• Establish repeatable delivery frameworks, templates, and technical program management best practices across customer engagements.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical program leader who thrives in customer-facing environments, can translate complex technical initiatives into structured delivery plans, and has a proven track record of successfully leading enterprise AI, infrastructure, and transformation programs.

This individual is equally comfortable engaging with customer executives, architects, engineers, vendors, contractors, and delivery teams while driving programs from vision through execution.

This role offers the opportunity to lead high-visibility customer AI and infrastructure programs while establishing disciplined, scalable technical program management practices.

• Release, Cutover & Transition Planning: Can lead deployment strategies, release planning, cutover execution, operational readiness activities, and transition-to-support processes while minimizing business and customer impact.
• Requirements & Acceptance Criteria: Can collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to define requirements, establish acceptance criteria, validate deliverables, and ensure successful outcomes aligned with customer expectations.
• SOW Execution & Scope Control: Can manage Statements of Work (SOWs), track contractual deliverables, maintain scope discipline, evaluate change requests, and ensure commitments are delivered within agreed parameters.
• Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Can effectively coordinate work across vendors, contractors, implementation partners, and internal teams while maintaining accountability, communication, and alignment to program objectives.
• Executive Governance & Reporting: Can develop executive dashboards, program scorecards, governance materials, and strategic communications that provide leadership visibility into program performance, risks, and outcomes.
• RAID & Change Management: Can proactively identify and manage risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and change requests while driving resolution strategies and maintaining program stability throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Customer Stakeholder Management: Can build trusted relationships with customer executives, business leaders, technical stakeholders, and delivery teams while effectively managing expectations, facilitating decision-making, and driving successful customer outcomes.
  

Skill Level Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading complex technical programs and enterprise technology initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience managing customer-facing SOW-driven projects from project kickoff through final delivery.
• Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure, cloud, AI, data center, or technology transformation projects.
• Exceptional customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working directly with executive sponsors, technical leaders, engineering teams, vendors, and customer stakeholders.
• Strong command of integrated program planning, critical path management, dependency mapping, RAID management, change control, and executive reporting.
• Ability to translate technical architecture, requirements, and implementation constraints into clear program plans and customer-facing communications.
• Hands-on experience with Asana and Airtable; experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, or comparable enterprise delivery tools.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering AI, machine learning, data platform, or advanced technology initiatives.
• Experience supporting infrastructure deployments, data center implementations, and cloud migrations.
• Experience supporting large-scale onsite facility buildouts, data center construction projects, infrastructure deployment programs, and coordination across facilities, construction, engineering, networking, power, cooling, and operational readiness teams.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Scrum Master, SAFe, Agile, or related certifications.
• Consulting, professional services, or systems integration experience.
• MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.

• Hybrid work schedule based in Somerset, New Jersey.

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
