Public Area Attendant I

Job Description: The Custodian will maintain the assigned property, performing general custodial tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking supplies. They will also assist the staff as directed to manage the property efficiently. Responsibilities Assist staff with property management and safety compliance. Dust, mop, vacuum, clean restrooms, and restock paper and soap supplies. Follow safety guidelines and report or initiate action to correct unsafe conditions or damage. Pressure wash, sweep, dry, vacuum, mop, dust, and polish common areas. Remove trash from common area bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste properly. Wipe down and sanitize gym and fitness equipment on a scheduled basis. Patrol bathrooms, amenity spaces, and lounge areas to ensure cleanliness schedule adherence. Maintain storage area security and safeguard utility meter cutoffs and cleanouts. Keep dumpster and compactor doors closed and ensure proper recycling or waste disposal. Distribute resident communications, including events, pest control notices, and newsletters. Operate trash compactors, cardboard balers, and hauling vehicles safely. Move trash and recycling bins in and out for scheduled pickups. Monitor dog run and pet waste stations, empty and clean bins, replenish pet waste bags. Restock and supply common area amenities such as refrigerators and gym towels. Report maintenance concerns to the maintenance team promptly. Monitor, maintain, and clean all interior and exterior common areas including bathrooms, kitchens, walkways, hallways, amenity spaces, parking garage, elevators, and sidewalks. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Preferred experience in customer service, housekeeping, or janitorial work.
